Find out moreThis 150-watt BodenWärme Electric Undertile Heating Mat with a stylish black digital dSTAT Thermostat is the ideal underfloor heating solution for natural stone, porcelain and ceramic floors. The 150w system will maintain an even and comfortable temperature throughout your room and will solve the issue of hot or cold spots, which are frequent with traditional heating methods such as radiators.
Not only quick and easy to install but these durable and reliable BodenWärme Heating Mats are also backed with a lifetime warranty. Meanwhile, the thermostats are covered by specific manufacturer-backed warranties providing you with peace of mind.
When installed within well-insulated rooms, BodenWärme's heating mats, manufactured from tough Fluoropolymer conducting insulation with a PVC outer insulation, can be used as a primary heat source. This reduces the need for traditional radiators, which can often take up large areas of wall space and be something of an eyesore. To increase your room's energy efficiency, you can lay the mats over underfloor heating insulation boards, which will result in less time to heat up and a reduction in the amount of heat loss through uninsulated floors.
Each kit comes with a digital dSTAT thermostat, featuring a sleek black finish and boasts a fantastic range of innovative features, including a 'Key Lock', which ensures settings can't be changed by mistake. The adaptive learning system and weekly programming function, which allows you to schedule automated heating of your room at certain times, make the thermostat incredibly user-friendly and easy to operate.
To calculate which kit size is right for your project, you need to first work out the area of the entire floor space by multiplying the width of the floor by the length. Once this is done, you should then deduct any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will remove the risk of causing hot spots in your room. Once you have a total area minus the deductions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between mats and around the perimeter of the room.
