Find out moreSay goodbye to cold spots and uneven heating, and welcome a consistent, cosy temperature throughout your room. Unlike conventional radiator systems, this 18m² (10m² + 8m²) BodenWärme underfloor heating kit ensures an even distribution of heat, allowing you to enjoy the perfect temperature profile as your feet stay warm and toasty while your head remains cool. Operating at AC230V +/-10% 50/60Hz, this underfloor heating system provides efficient year-round comfort.
The kit's efficient heating mats boast a dual-core wire with a simple, single connection point, setting them apart from other carbon film systems. The ultra-thin encapsulated 1mm wire minimises the increase in floor height, ensuring a seamless integration into your room. The tough Fluoropolymer heating element insulation guarantees durability, while the aluminium mat composition evenly spreads the heat for optimal efficiency.
As well as the underfloor heating mats, this kit also comes with a modern, easy-to-use touchscreen thermostat with three different sensor settings, allowing you to customise your experience. Its manual override function lets you take advantage of your heating system, perfect for those sudden cold snaps. The thermostat, fitting into a standard single gang back box (45mm deep), features a sensitive touchscreen for enhanced usability. Program different time and temperature settings for weekends and benefit from the Key Lock function, preventing unintended changes to settings or programs.
To calculate which kit size is right for your project, you will first need to work out the area of the whole floor space by multiplying the length of the floor by the width. Once this is done, you should then subtract any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will eradicate the risk of causing hot spots in your room. When you have a total area minus the deductions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between cables and around the perimeter of the room.
