The compression fitting forms a solid joint when you tighten the nut, in turn compressing the ring onto the connected pipe or tube. As a DZR fitting (Dezincification Resistant Brass), this compression female iron is perfect for applications that deliver and contain drinking water, including commercial and residential construction applications. DZR is highly resistant to corrosion with its lower zinc content, making it not only safe but also incredibly dependable and durable to withstand longevity use. DZR is also resistant to dezincification - which is the process of zinc corroding out of the brass. With this process removed, your compression female iron is far less likely to leak and once again ensures your fitting stays perfectly intact.
