On the reverse of each tile is a built-in acoustic backing, which removes the need for you to apply a separate layer of underlay prior to laying your tiles. This layer will reduce noise transfer to the rooms below by as much as 19dB. You can also lay Palio Core Cetona LVT straight onto even and uneven hard floor surfaces, such as concrete, wooden and tiled floors. This dramatically reduces the time it takes to lay your floor, especially as there is no need to apply a self-levelling screed beforehand.

Karndean's Palio Core Cetona Luxury Vinyl Tile has a slip resistance rating of R10, making it safe to walk on, even in rooms where the surface may occasionally be wet, such as kitchens, en-suites and bathrooms. Palio Core is also fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, though you need to ensure the temperature does not exceed 27 degrees Celsius.

Installation

Palio Core has been designed for non-expert fitters, ensuring you can lay your floor with minimal stress and hassle. The system's ingenious patented 2G clip lock mechanism allows you to install the boards in the same way you would lay standard laminate flooring. This simple tongue and groove process eliminates the need for any adhesives. As for tools, you will only require a sharp concave bladed knife, which is needed for cutting your planks to size. Simply score a line across the width of your plank face and snap it by keeping it face-side up and applying downward pressure on either side of your line.

Please note:

A 5mm expansion gap is required when installing your flooring.
While Palio Core is compatible with underfloor heating systems, the temperature must not exceed 27 degrees Celsius.
With a slip resistance rating of R10, this tile provides moderate protection against slippages and is suitable for rooms that encounter occasional wet conditions. When used in a bathroom, it is advised that you use a bath mat as an additional precaution.
